Foundations of Math and Pre-Calculus 10
Credits: 4
Prerequisite: Math 9 (a minimum grade of C in Math 9 is recommended)
This is a academic math course that requires a very sincere work commitment and a solid background in Math 9. Students will spend much of their time developing their understanding of algebraic/symbolic manipulation and some of the more sophisticated generalizations of theoretical mathematics. The curriculum builds on knowledge and skill developed in Math 9. Topics in Foundations of Math and Pre-Calclulus 10 focus on number systems, exponents, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions and equations, relations and functions, measurement, and finances.
This is the only Math 10 course that keeps all post secondary options open.
